An hour in the air at sunrise, over the fields of Osona or with Montserrat on the horizon. A private basket when the moment has to be yours, a shared flight when the view is the point. We handle the operator, the transfer from Barcelona and what happens if the wind says no.
Date, how many of you and whether it is a surprise — we send real options with a firm price, the launch site and the weather terms.
You fly at dawn, because that is when the air is still. Pick-up is before sunrise, you watch the envelope being inflated, climb into the basket and spend roughly an hour in the air, drifting at exactly the speed of the wind. There is no engine noise and no breeze on your face, because you are moving with the air rather than through it.
A balloon cannot be steered. It goes where the wind takes it, so nobody knows the landing field until the last minutes — a chase vehicle follows from the ground and collects you wherever you come down. With inflation, the flight, the landing and the drive back, set aside three to four hours of your morning.
This is the first thing to decide, and most people only find out it matters after they have booked. A standard balloon flight is shared: you go up with eight or twelve strangers. For the view, that is fine. For a proposal, it is not.
Just your group and the pilot. This is what a proposal, an anniversary or a once-in-a-lifetime gift needs. It costs considerably more, and the reason is obvious the moment you are up there.
Same route, same sunrise, other passengers in the basket with you. The sensible choice when the experience matters more than privacy.
If there are eight or twelve of you, you can take a whole basket as a group: the per-person price of a shared flight with the privacy of a private one.
Real rates from the operators we fly with, VAT included. Before you pay we confirm the operator, the area and the date in writing.

Most requested
| Format | People | Weekdays | Weekends and holidays |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared flight | up to 12 | €179 /person | €179 /person |
| Private basket | 2 | €700 | €800 |
| Private basket | 3 or more | on request | on request |
Charged separately: breakfast at a restaurant (€6 to €18 per person depending on the menu), the engraved keepsake glass (€5) and a private transfer from Barcelona. Decoration, flowers and your own photographer are all fine.
We send a firm figure in writing the same day you write to us, with the operator already chosen. These are the things that move it:
By far the biggest factor. A basket for two costs several times what two seats on a shared flight cost, because the whole balloon flies for you.
Shared flights are priced per person. A private basket is priced per balloon, so the more of you there are, the less it costs each.
Spring and autumn fly best and are booked most. Weekdays are usually better value than weekends.
The Empordà and Osona are not priced the same, and the transfer from Barcelona weighs on the total if there are only two of you.
Decoration, flowers, your own photographer, a proper toast on landing. These are what turn a flight into a proposal.
Private baskets on spring and autumn weekends go weeks in advance. Booking early almost always costs less.
The balloon lands mid-morning and the whole day is still ahead. We pair it with a private sailboat in the afternoon: two experiences that have nothing in common, on the same day, with one contact and one payment.

| The day | People | Total | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared flight + private 11-seat sailboat | 2 | €757 | €379 |
| Private basket + private 11-seat sailboat | 2 | €1,099 | €550 |
| Shared flight + private 11-seat sailboat | 10 | €2,189 | €219 |
Monday to Thursday rates, VAT included. The sailboat is €399 on weekdays and €549 at weekends, the private basket €700 / €800. From 11 people we switch to a catamaran and the per-person price drops further.
Balloons do not launch from Barcelona itself. Take-off sites are inland, where the air is steadier and there is open farmland to land on. Expect one to one and a half hours from the city centre — which, at four in the morning, is worth planning properly.
The most used area. Open fields, low autumn mist and, on the right morning, a sea of cloud sitting below the basket.
You fly with the serrated ridge of Montserrat on the horizon — the image most people have in mind when they picture ballooning in Catalonia.
Farmland, stone farmhouses and the Pyrenees in the distance on clear days. Further out, but the natural choice if you are staying on the Costa Brava.
We arrange the transfer from your hotel if you would rather not drive before dawn, and we tell you the exact meeting point once the operator and date are confirmed.
Send it over with the number of people. We come back with who actually has that morning free, what it costs, and — in writing — what that operator does if the wind cancels: a new date, a refund or a voucher. It differs from company to company, and it is the part people find out too late.
Check my date →It varies between operators, and comparing that is part of what we do for you. Typically:
What is almost never included: the transfer from Barcelona, decoration in the basket and your own photographer. We handle those.
Better said before you book than after. Ballooning depends on the weather more than any other activity. Wind, rain or thick fog and you do not fly, and the call is made that same morning, a few hours before pick-up, because until then nobody knows.
That is physics, not an operator being difficult: a balloon has no engine and cannot be flown against the wind. What does differ between companies is what happens next, which is exactly why we ask every one of them in writing. Some rebook at no cost, some refund, some issue a voucher with an expiry date.
If you are travelling: do not put the flight on the last morning of your trip. Leave one spare day and your chances of actually flying go up sharply.
We reply the same day with the operator, a firm price and the cancellation terms in writing. No obligation.
