Supply lines fail at the joint, not the pipe

Manifold first. Then we run the lines.

Most leaks behind the wall are at hidden tee joints from previous renovations — a quick branch pulled off an existing line, no isolation, no pressure test, then plastered over. We do supply differently: every fixture goes back to a central manifold with its own valve, no buried tees, no hidden splices, and we hold pressure at 6 bar for 24 hours before tile or floor closes the chase.

01

Manifold-fed runs

One manifold in the utility cupboard, one valve per fixture, one straight run to the tap. No buried tees behind tile. If a leak ever shows, you isolate that fixture without shutting the whole flat.

02

PEX or copper, by case

PEX-A for renovations (flexible, fewer joints, sleeve-corrosion-proof), copper where the existing system is mostly copper or where heat resistance matters at the boiler. We tell you which and why at the survey.

03

ACS hot-water sized right

Gas tankless for a small flat, electric tank for low-traffic, heat pump for sustained hot demand and lower bills. We size against actual fixture count and run length, sign the ACS, file with industry.

04

6 bar / 24 h hydro-test

Every supply joint pressure-tested at 6 bar for 24 hours. Pressure log goes in the handover folder. If a joint weeps, we find it before tile, not when your downstairs neighbour calls about a stain on their ceiling.

How we work · 4 stages

Survey, size, run, test.

Survey + fixture list

Free site visit. We list every tap, shower, washer and dishwasher, measure the runs, check the entry pressure, decide PEX vs copper. Same-week slots, written report within 48 hours.

Manifold + ACS sizing

Where the manifold lives, how many ports, how the runs leave it. ACS hot-water source sized against demand. You see the layout and the fixed-price quote together.

First-fix runs

Manifold mounted, lines pulled, no joints inside the wall, all elbows accessible. Aigues meter swap or supply increase coordinated with the distributor while we are on site.

Hydro-test + ACS sign

6 bar pressure test, 24 hours, log delivered. ACS certificate signed for the hot-water source. Pressure regulator set, recirculation loop balanced if the install has one.

Common supply questions

What clients ask at the survey.

Most renovations: PEX-A. It bends around obstacles, has fewer hidden joints, and the sleeve protects against corrosion in the chase. Copper still wins where the existing system is mostly copper or for short hot runs straight off a gas tankless. We decide at the survey.
For an 80 m² flat, a manifold install costs €150–€250 more than tee-fed runs. You get isolation per fixture without shutting the whole flat, no buried tees behind tile, and a single point to add a future fixture. Most clients say yes once they see the diagram.
Two-bath flat, sustained hot demand: heat pump (€2 800–€3 600 install, lowest running cost). Small flat with gas line: gas tankless (€1 100–€1 600 install, low standby loss). Low-traffic studio: electric tank (€450–€700 install, simplest). All ACS-certified.
From file to meter swap is typically 4–8 weeks depending on the district. We file on day one of the project so the timeline runs in parallel. The cutover is scheduled to land before commissioning.
24 months written workmanship on the install. ACS certificate covers the hot-water source by law. Manufacturer warranty on materials — Uponor / Rehau PEX typically 10 years on the pipe, 5 years on the fittings.
